Kaela Farrier

Exercise Physiologist

Kaela has passion for learning and a desire to help others in improving their quality of life. She initially enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health at UWA (graduating in 2013) as the human body  was fascinating and she was interested in the vast impact that exercise can have on both physical and mental health.

Kaela then went on to complete Honours with her project entitled “The Athletes Artery”. This passion was instrumental in working as a Research Assistant for the School of Physiotherapy & Exercise Science and the School of Psychology at Curtin University, conducting research in the areas of healthy ageing, falls prevention, dementia and exercise for older people and co-authoring 12 publications.

She thoroughly enjoys working with people with various health complications and the continuous learning associated with it. Kaela undertook the Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology at UWA (graduating July 2020) to enable her to further explore explore and develop her passion for learning and assist those in a more varied population with a range of pathologies to improve their quality of life through exercise.
